Fremont, California - August 8, 2001- Hurricane Electric, a leading Technical Service Provider, announced yesterday that they will aid in the search for a missing Los Gatos woman by donating web hosting to the www.findjeanine.com. Jeanine Harms, 42, has been missing since July 27 after leaving the Rock Bottom Brewery in Campbell, CA with a man she met at the restaurant. Her family and friends have continued the search by setting up www.findjeanine.com, a website devoted to keeping the public informed of new leads, contributions and rewards for information. Hurricane Electric was contacted by family members of Harms to host the www.findjeanine.com website and they were more than willing to oblige. "We hope the website will expose more people to Jeanine's disappearance," said Mike Leber, president of Hurricane Electric. "Hopefully, someone visiting the site will have some information to add to the case that will ultimately help in finding her and bringing her back to safety." On the website, family members have posted pictures and home video footage of Harms, along with a video excerpt from America's Most Wanted television program, which details Harms' disappearance. The website also allows the public to send messages to Harms' family and to donate contributions to the "Jeanine Sanchez-Harms Reward Fund". So far, contributions have allowed the Harms' family to offer $10,000 for information leading to her return. The Rock Bottom Brewery has offered to sponsor a "Find Jeanine Foundation Dinner" to raise reward funds and allow friends and family to gather and discuss the ongoing search for Harms. The website allows people to RSVP for the dinner. Along with a link to contact police about Harms' case, the website also links to major news sources that have run Harms' story in hopes that someone will come forward with new information. Harms' Disappearance On Friday, July 27, Jeanine Harms was last seen by friends leaving the Rock Bottom Brewery in the Pruneyard Shopping Center in Campbell, CA with a man she met at the restaurant. The man was identified and questioned by Los Gatos police, but is not a suspect. He told police that he followed Harms to her house around 10 p.m. and left at approximately 1 a.m. Harms' coworkers at Amdahl Corp. in Sunnyvale contacted police on Monday to file a missing person's report after Harms failed to show up for work, police said. The Los Gatos police Dept. searched Harms' home and believed that she had become a victim of foul play. Family and friends have searched the local areas for Harms to no avail. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Harms, or any information regarding to the investigation should contact the Los Gatos/Monte Sereno Police Dept. at (408) 354- 8600. |
