Hurricane Electric opened its new colocation facility, located at 48233 Warm Springs Blvd. Fremont, CA, just over six months ago. However, the demand for colocation space and managed data housing at the new facility was so high that the initial build out sold out almost immediately, necessitating a second phase build out earlier than initially planned. With the second phase build out completed, Hurricane Electric has added five additional private suites, several hundred cabinets, and more than doubled the capacity originally available.

We were astonished to see how fast initial capacity sold out at our new facility and are excited to have a 208,000 square foot facility that will allow us ample room to increase capacity as future demand continues to grow," said Mike Leber, president of Hurricane Electric.

Hurricane Electric's new colocation facility is equipped with every amenity a customer could desire including a 24/7 knowledgeable onsite staff, HVAC environmental systems with upflow air conditioning units, conditioned uninterruptible power and back-up generators to prevent energy surges or loss of power, a high-tech security system with digital video surveillance custom designed to monitor every entrance, exit, hallway, and individual cabinet in the colocation facility, and a high-security card key system that monitors and limits access to certain areas in the colocation facility. 48233 Warm Springs is also designed with individually locking suites containing industry standard 19-inch rack mountable cabinets with perforated doors panels, combination-locking doors, and high- powered fans, giving Hurricane Electric customers the ability to choose between colocation space in shared and private suites.
